Coastal is an integrated health care resource dedicated to quality care for our patients. We have set the standard for excellence in primary care since our inception in 1995.

In addition to treating common and chronic medical problems, Coastal physicians provide expertise in preventive service, always while keeping pace with the evolving advances in health care. Within our physician group you will find specialists in Cardiology, Pulmonary, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease and Women's Health. We also offer inpatient care, clinical lab and imaging services.

Leaders in health care, Coastal plays an important role in the well being of more than 150,000 patients across Rhode Island and neighboring Massachusetts. The Coastal 'team' is comprised of more than 85 physicians, NPs, and PAs, complemented by 350 support staff in 15 practice locations.

Though the services of Coastal Medical have grown to be numerous and diverse, the one commonality they all share is our focus on providing the highest quality, patient-centered care.

All Coastal member physicians are board-certified or board-eligible, and are well-respected members of the medical community.

Maximizing physician efficiency.

We understand our physician's highest priority is quality patient care. That is why Coastal provides a unique service to physicians and medical professionals through our Practice Management Services. We know that a properly managed practice translates to more efficient and effective patient care.

Coastal also provides a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program for our physicians. The program reinforces physicians' current knowledge, updates information and introduces new ideas, skills and technology, all translating to better patient care.
