Clinical laboratory testing plays a crucial role in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Coastal Medical laboratory is committed to providing useful tests with high quality results that are accurate, reliable and available in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Coastal Medical employs well trained professionals who specialize in Clinical Laboratory Science. They perform a wide range of clinical procedures on patient specimens. These procedures include preparing specimens for examination, counting cells, looking for abnormal cells. All Coastal laboratory testing personnel are required to possess both the appropriate national certification (NCA or ASCP) and have an active professional license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
