Coastal Waterman Pediatrics


Waterman pediatrics was founded in the early 1900's by Dr. Henry Utter, one of the first pediatricians in Rhode Island. In 1957, his son Dr. Wilson F. Utter became a member of the practice. Many pediatricians have since joined Dr. Utter continuing this commitment to excellence in pediatrics.

In 1997 Waterman Pediatrics became part of a select group of Rhode Island physicians to form Coastal Medical Inc. In an era of managed care and escalating healthcare costs, this association allows us to focus on delivering quality healthcare as efficiently and effectively as possible.

We're making exciting changes at Coastal Waterman Pediatrics!
After 80 years on the East Side, in October we moved to our new location at 900 Warren Ave. Suite 200, in East Providence. We have kept the same phone number, 401-421-6481 and look forward to seeing you in our new family-centered office.

Along with the newly appointed offices, we're making our phone system more efficient for your convenience. We're implementing an electronic health record to provide your children with better quality care. We are even planning an on-site lab and X-Ray facility! Office Hours
Our office is open Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5 PM and there is an on-call doctor available for urgent problems at all other times.

You can always reach us during regular office hours and it is our policy to see all sick patients on the day that they call, provided they call before 5 PM. A special "phone hour" is a scheduled time from 7 AM - 8 AM every weekday morning during which you can speak directly to one of the Waterman physicians.
